The Isara 50
The Catamaran lifestyle... Isara 50'
Catamarans are the
ideal choice for a cruising couple. They're easy to handle under power and
sail. They offer a stable platform for the experienced and novice sailor
alike. Modern designs, like the Isara, have the load carrying
ability not available in older designs. They go to windward well. They
tack. In fact, with over 100 ocean deliveries of 1,000 miles or more in a
variety of conditions--of monohulls and catamarans--we find that
catamarans offer about 20% faster passages.

Introduction
(See information on 44, left)

The Isara 50 sail was conceived by Cris Jackman, who identified the
disparity between the luxury offered by leading brands in the power boat
market and the rather basic package normally offered in catamarans and the
sailing market generally.
In addition, much of the ‘production’ boat building market offers
poor quality fit out, low standard specs and cheap production methods aimed
and profit before user comfort, which meant a wealth of issues to be
addressed and improved on.
Starting with a blank canvas he created a brief that required a boat
that assigned equal importance to providing a high level of quality and
usability in every area from styling to ergonomics with the need to provide
a well performing ‘blue water capable’ sailing catamaran.
To this end Naval Architect Christian Stimson has not only fulfilled
the brief but surpassed it, and in conjunction with Hi Modulus, the global
leader of marine composite engineering they have ensured that the structural
integrity and technical challenges have been met.
In addition to the overall architecture we have added into the mix
international marine and aircraft stylist Roel de Groot who has fashioned
stunning looks and elegance both externally and internally. The use of large
vertical ports giving guests views both sides of the horizon and flooding
the cabins with ambient natural light, highlights the innovative and new
thought process we have used throughout.
The interior boasts bespoke fabrics covering every inch of the cabins
and voluminous saloon and the high quality fit out as standard is far above
anything on the market today.
Within the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 cabin options available, the 5 and 6
cabin versions offer all cabins within the main fabric of the boat (i.e. not
forepeaks) and offer a substantial increase in charter revenue without
compromising on comfort. We also offer a ‘family cabin’ option.
Extensive customization is possible and there are options for a
complete hybrid power system and daggerboards. Call us for more details.

The final key to success...
It has been our experience, that the final
critical element in order to get your boat the way that you want her, is
to have an experienced complete commissioning facility in the states as
your partner. Unlike other dealers, we have had the experience of
commissioning over 100 catamarans at our central facility in
Annapolis, Americas sailing capital...
We work with the manufacturer and know that
between us, we can supply equipment that
is more serviceable in the U.S.
We assign a personal, project manager to
you. He will interview you and gain an understanding of how you
plan to use your boat, and what your expectations are. We can
fabricate custom welded Biminis, storage racks and other equipment that
far exceeds the minimum specifications of typical European standards. We
know that you want rugged, reliable, easy to service equipment that will
stand the test of time. You want luxury and comfort--all at a reasonable
cost.
We will truly customize your boat for your
specific requirements with equipment that will be easy to get service on
in the U.S., the Caribbean or wherever your voyaging takes you, and... we
do it cost effectively. Usually for far less than the comparable cost of
doing the same work in Europe.
Consult
with us about your specific needs, alternatives to financing, advice on
dockage, insurance, commissioning, delivering your boat or whatever else
that you need to know in order to move forward and make an informed
decision. We're here to help. To share over 38 years of experience with
the voyaging life style...
It doesn't cost, it pays to go with
experience. The Bay Yacht Agency Group, serving clients since 1972. We
look forward to meeting with you!
