Above and Beyond
You're special:
It's not enough to propose ideas or to offer a stock boat. When you come
to us, we'll show you a packaged boat that comes closest to meeting your
objectives, and then we'll have a sit down meeting with your dedicated
commissioning manager and sales associate to review a 6 page list of
commissioning options...

The Vagts just took delivery of their Fountaine
Pajot 40, "Neverland"
(Chartered out of Key West winters, Annapolis,
Summers.) 410-263-1818
But even before that happens, we want you to consider all of the
possibilities for having custom commissioning done (Note, more often
than not, this results in cost savings over simply letting the factory
do everything!)
So, how do you review the possibilities? It's easy, just go to our form,
"Your Boat, How do you want
it?" and explore
the possibilities!
Note: Please don't actually fill out and send back the
form unless you're within about 3 months of getting a new or used boat
from us. But, if you're ready, we'll offer a really comprehensive price
quote and option list that will show you the possibilities. Are service
and prices are guaranteed the best, so you have nothing to lose by
working with us! |

1. Things that make your boat even more special
and/or to be installed on charter boats.
Ideas we're about to incorporate into our boats.
1. Fresh Water filter.
The 3M US-B1 Recreational Vehicle/Marine Filtration System provides
biologically safe drinking water for you and your family. When you leave
the house, leave the bottled water at home and install the US-B1 in your
boat or RV today!
The 3M RV and Marine Filtration Systems are designed for consumers
who want great tasting water and improved water quality from their tanks
and hose hookups.
About $350, installed with extra filter. (2,000 gal per filter)
Alternative, Culligan filter system with separate, dedicated faucet.
About $350 w/separate faucet.
Other ideas:
-
Soften and filter water going into
tanks--portable system, about $310.

-
Consider a reverse osmosis (water maker) system.
2.
Killing smells--an ozone generator.
Just beginning to investigate. Link to good information and a company that
produces 110V, household units. More to come. Good ones can be had for
around $300.

3.
Security for you. (Includes a new way to lock your boat)
Simple, motion detector alarm-self contained, with stickers. Sounds a
piercing 130db siren to scare off potential intruders. Create your own
security code.
Combination hatch lock. On monohulls it installs on your sliding hatch to
prevent it from being able to be slid. Self set your combination.
No more fumbling for keys, or playing who's got the keys.
Complete security/warning system

Other ideas.
A complete, monitored (calls your cell or Emails you)
system is available with smoke, high water and intrusion alarms.
About $1250 w/all sensors, portable, self installed.
Another system, under $1,000 click
here.

2. More about commissioning
Imagine you're buying a new house. It comes: in red brick
with a black roof and standard landscaping. Inside you have all tile
floors, standard appliances, Formica counters and cabinets. That's it.
Few if any other choices.
You probably wouldn't buy a house like that where you
couldn't specify how you wanted it, yet that's exactly what most boat
buyers do.
They don't understand that boat builders offer products for
Mr. Average. They package in stuff they get cheap, or that has high
margins (for them!)
We take a different approach. We offer you a 6 page list of
custom options. In most cases, your boat will be a blend of what we have
found to be good value options from the factory, and better equipment we
can get locally.
We analyze your specific requirements from a systems
approach point of view. We take into consideration a companies track
record with warranty and support. How the equipment affects electrical
loads or boat balance. And, most importantly what specifically is your
cruising style.
With all of this in hand, we make recommendations and in
virtually every case, but together a boat that meets your requirements
and will give you the most enjoyment you can have.
Here are some important links to consider:

do you want it? A form to express your preferences. (Please, only
send it if you are within a few months of ordering a new boat or buying
a used boat.
