  The market is slow, right? Buyers are only buying at rock bottom prices? It's time consuming and expensive to sell a boat? Why won't dealers take trades--or if they do, at wholesale prices?

 If you're looking to buy a new boat, we've developed a program to overcome the difficulties of the current market--and get you into a new boat for less!

The new reality is that dealers just don't have the financing to do a normal trade, and the dealers that do, offer ridiculous, lowest possible trade in prices. There must be a better way--and there is. We have a database of 20,000 active potential buyers. They've scoured the usual sources of brokerage boats--on-line sources, boat yards, and print media--and still not found what they wanted, at a price they were willing to pay.

 Our plan? Offer potential buyers a unique list of boats never before seen on-line, or anywhere else. We double check them, and offer a warranty and then subsidize the price for the buyer. Now  we can offer these, now, very desirable boats at a below market price! How can we do this? Because we are making a new boat sale to these owners, spreading our costs over two sales and we have unique facilities to whip these special boats, your boat, into shape!

Here's where you come in. We'll get you the maximum return for your existing boat, and the guaranteed lowest price on a new boat. What's the catch? You must want the new boat, and have the wherewithal to finance it if we can get you a more than fair return on your boat...

This plan is a win/win for you, for us, and for the potential buyer of your existing boat. The only question is, "Why didn't someone think of this sooner?

Here's the deal:
Use the questionnaire, below to identify for us the boat you would like to trade, and the new boat you would like.
If we mutually agree to enter into our program together, here's what we'll do:

What you do...

1. Use our form to identify where you are.

2. Agree you'll purchase the new boat you're interested in, at a guaranteed, lowest price if we take your boat in, at a trade in price acceptable to you--you get the normal brokerage price, not a wholesale trade-in price.

3. Cooperate with moving your boat to our facility and have it put into first class condition, with a warranty for our potential buyers.

4. Split the cost of a pre-survey on your boat with us. This allows us to offer the warranty, and assurances that your boat is a certified trade. Now we've both got an investment in a successful transaction!

5. If you like, we can place your boat in our charter fleet while it's for sale so that you get income and tax advantages that cover it's cost.

What we will do...

1. Immediately put your existing boat on our special list for our clients

2. Offer you a free appraisal and work out an offering price, and a deal on a new boat with your boat as a trade. Arrange a survey with a qualified, third party surveyor--and split the cost--full cost $10/ft for a pre-sale survey.

3. By trading your boat this way, you can deduct it's value from the cost of the new boat for calculating the sales tax.

4. We will offer your trade with only a brokers commission 5%, rather than the normal 10%--your boat has an immediate lower price advantage on the market at no additional cost to you.

5. Offer you free land or water storage for up to 3 months while it is for sale.

6. Consult with you and do what it takes to make your boat as marketable as possible

7. Offer you winterization and any service needed at greatly reduced prices by our skilled service personal. (They service our charter boats during the summer, and we need to keep them busy during the winter.)

8. Certify your boat after survey, and offer a third party warranty, that we pay for, to the potential buyer of your boat.

Buyers--why is this program for you?

New Listings: We are bringing fresh, new brokerage boats to the market--boats you won't find on any standard listing site.

Certified boats: These boats are pre-surveyed, certified by us, and offered with a third party warranty.

Great deals: These boats will be be well below market price because we are subsidizing the sale price in order to make a new boat sale. These owners have agreed to have us pre-certify their boat and address any corrective issues in advance. They are motivated because they want to buy a new boat--and if they act now, they can get a new boat at a lower price now, than later. They are paying a greatly reduced commission and can pass on the savings. At the end of the day, they are offering an extremely attractive price, and you can settle in the spring--that's right, reserve your boat now, with no carrying costs and settle when you want to start using her! We're taking it a step further and throwing in a part of our commission on a new boat, in order to facilitate a quick sale.

Winter Program

NOTE: If you keep your boat in the water, There will be a dock watch fee of $200/month because of the more difficult environment and we will be required to have personal on hand, that we wouldn't otherwise. Dockwatch will check lines, power plugged in, batteries charge state, clear cockpit of snow and ice to prevent flooding, etc. Dock watch is not responsible for storm damage though every effort will be made to avoid damage.

Winterization and De-winterization is extra. Separate price sheet available, including extra services that can be provided over the winter. Space is always limited, so call today to put your boat in America's Sailing capital for the winter while it's for sale. 410-263-2311
