Your Profile (The ideal)

  • Good general boat knowledge--preferably power and sail.
  • General business Experience. Sales experience. Management experience. Experience with  business issues including working with contracts, investment, the ins and outs of depreciation schedules and general business investments and the like.
  • Hands-on. Fix small things on the spot. Understand nautical terminology--power and sail. (though you may specialize). Understand and operate vessel systems of all types.
  • A good delegater.
  • Computer literate
  • Have chartered other areas before, especially in the Caribbean, but also Chesapeake Bay literate.
  • You might be retired from a first career, or young and ambitious with unusual business acumen for your age.
  • You want to invest time and/or money and have an ownership stake in this business.

We will work closely with you in providing specific training and mentoring if you otherwise fit the bill. No license is required.

Once you understand, and believe in the potential, you may want to get on the fast track, and invest in an ownership interest in our organization. We absolutely expect that your ultimate success will be based on your commitment and belief in your own success.

We also sell other fleets such as Caribbean, Florida, Key West, and Bahamas.  We are a 12 month year business as we book charters in the islands etc.  We also can sell boats through our parent company and also receive referral commissions from that.  We also have a path for charter brokers to grow and develop other sub-brokers that would work under them and the "Team Leader" would receive an over-ride on the entire team of brokers that report to them.  We also will pay a commission on a boat that comes into the fleet on every charter the boat has to the broker that brings it into the fleet for the first season.
 
So with all that said, there is  un-limited potential for income possibilities for a person that is self motivated, computer savvy, high energy, a problem solver, customer service oriented, task oriented, detailed oriented, and not afraid of hard work for big rewards. Are you that person?

Charter Broker Experienced

If you've worked as a charter broker or...

Perhaps you have extensive sales experience (Real-estate, commercial, or whatever) and have cruised in the Caribbean, or own a boat and really know boats? We have an unbeatable package for a proven performer. 

We are a experienced charter company in Annapolis with a huge potential.  I need a few SALES people to generate sales and be pro-active in creating new markets to sell into as well as professionals to  nurture our existing customer base.  It is the charter brokers responsibility to provide customer service to the charterer by preparing necessary paperwork in advance, greet the client and be able to go over the boat with them.  It is also required that the charter broker greet their client upon their return, thus suggesting an additional charter at a later date and/or in another area.  The potential for an aggressive charter broker is unlimited.  Our average charter is approximately $1500 for a weekend and $3000 for a week.  We have approximately 22 boats (In Annapolis, and almost 100 in various Caribbean and Florida fleets-more coming because of favorable tax laws.) and there are on average 23 weeks in our season.  We pay commissions  plus bonus if a charter broker exceeds quota... We book year round, including in Florida and the Caribbean.

Charter Broker Limited Experience

Fleet Manager   

Looking for a career path that's fun and profitable?

You will oversee all of the details having to do with keeping a fleet of 15-40 boats ready to go. Our sophisticated management program will help you schedule sub-contractors, and bring together all of the resources needed to maintain the fleet, check out the charterers and handle last minute challenges.

The primary scheduling needs to be over the weekend, in summer months--so generally you need to be available for this. As you develop your trusted assistants, you will be able to delegate most of the day to day operations and concentrate on simply managing your resources. 

With a hands on attitude, you will first experience what's necessary to check out both experienced and first time charterers. You will help improve and develop check out sheets and procedures. Ultimately, you will train a trusted staff who will embrace your exceptional approach towards impeccable customer service. This approach will lead to growth. More boats will come into the fleet. More charterers will appreciate the exceptional value.

Many opportunities lie ahead. 

You could set up a service organization to handle our sales company needs as well as the charter. 

You could manage private boats. Many private owners are looking for maintenance and management contracts without chartering--this is especially true with the Larger power boats that we sell. 

You can partner with sailing schools, sailing clubs, travel agents and others who see the potential that a dynamic, forward thinking organization offers.

We're looking for a partner, not a employee. Your rewards will be based on your own personal success. We would welcome your (or friends) investment in the total operation.
